Time and place
Saturday and Sunday the 18th and 19st of August 2007 at Copenhagen Airport - Roskilde.
Saturday opening hours are from 10 am - 5.30 pm and the airshow will take place between 1.30 pm and 4.30 pm.
Sunday opening hours are from 8 am - 5 pm and the airshow will take place between 10 am and 3.30 pm, with a lunck bread between 12 am and 1 pm.
Sightseeing flights
Before and after the shows you will be able to come on a sightseeing flight. Aircraft will be Junkers JU-52, Messerschmitt ME-108 Taifun, DC3, Cessna 172 and one or two passenger aircraft. More informations and bookings will become available a few months before the show.
Idea of foundation
Roskilde Airshow is held at Roskilde Airport every second year - first time in 1995. The purpose is to promote the interest of flying for a wide spectra of people. The Airshow shall appeal to audience at all ages and give them a thrilling experience with air show and exhibitions related to both civil and military flying now and in the past.
The Air show addresses itself to the whole family. Specially efforts are made to represent and inform about various education possibilities within the flying industry, both civilian and military.
Being the only air show on Sjælland (Zealand) and in the Copenhagen area, the air show attracts people from a broad area of Denmark. Up to 15.000 spectators are expected depending on the weather.
The Air show
As with previous "Days of Flying - Roskilde Airshow" the Air show committee try to present as many different airplanes as possible both for the ground and the air show. Military planes and helicopters from the Navy, the Army and the Air force will participate. Also participation of civil passengers planes, business aircraft and helicopters. Military war birds from second world war, acrobatic flights, a great number of experimental airplanes (homebuilt) and veteran airplanes including the Danish KZ airplanes. The planes will come - apart from Denmark - from Sweden, Norway, Germany and England. Further, gliders, ultra lights, model plane and parachute jumping will participate.
Exhibitions
All aircraft participating in the air show will be accessible on ground. Further a great number of different exhibitions stands related to flying, such as flying clubs, flying unions, flying schools etc, are expected to the ground show. A travelling fun fair will be in the area for the kids. Food and beverages can be bought as well.
The organizers
Days of Flying - Roskilde Airshow is organized by Roskilde Flying Club and Danish Veteran Plane Collection. Any profit from the show will be used to encourage the interest for flying and education of pilots. As for The Danish Veteran Plane Collection the money will be used to their museum and restoration of old planes.
